The cubera snapper (Lutjanus cyanopterus) là một loài cá thuộc họ Lutjanidae. The largest recorded Cubera Snapper in the world was caught off bờ biển của Freeport, Texas tháng 6 23, 1984 by David Fotorny of Houston, Texas. Caught on a hand line the snapper weighed in at 151 pounds. This became a new Unrestricted Tackle record for the state of Texas.
