George I (tên đầy đủ: George Louis trong tiếng Anh và Georg Ludwig trong tiếng Đức, 28 Tháng 5, 1660 - 11 tháng 6, 1727) là vua của Vương quốc Anh và Ireland từ ngày 1 tháng 8 1714 cho đến khi băng hà, và người cai trị của Hanover trong Đế quốc La Mã Thần thánh từ năm 1698.

George sinh ra ở Niedersachsen, nay là nước Đức, và cuối cùng được thừa kế danh hiệu và đất đai của Công tước của Brunswick-Lüneburg. Một loạt các cuộc chiến tranh châu Âu được mở rộng cương thổ Đức của ông trong suốt cuộc đời của mình, và năm 1708 ông được phê chuẩn là Tuyển hầu tước - Vương hầu của Hanover. Ở tuổi 54, sau cái chết của hoàng hậu Anne của Anh, George lên ngôi vua Anh, và là quốc vương đầu tiên của Nhà Hanover.
