Pierre-Auguste Renoir (25 tháng 2 năm 1841 - 3 tháng 12 năm 1919) là một họa sĩ người Pháp, một nhân vật tiên phong trong sự phát triển của phong cách trường phái biểu hiện. Ông là một họa sĩ luôn đề cao vẻ đẹp, đặc biệt là về vẻ đẹp cơ thể của nữ giới. "Renoir là hiện thân cuối cùng của truyền thống chuyển tiếp từ Rubens tới Watteau"[1].
