Trong thời đại Arthur[5], chàng thợ rèn John (Alan Ladd) nuôi chí trở thành kị sĩ để chinh phục trái tim tiểu thơ Linet (Patricia Medina), ái nữ của bá tước xứ Yeonil[6][7].
