George William Frederick (4 tháng 6 năm 1738 - 29 tháng 1 năm 1820) là con của George II của Anh. Ông lên ngôi vua của Vương quốc Anh năm 1760, dưới danh hiệu George III. Ngoài ra, ông còn là vua Ireland và Hanover. Triều đại lâu dài của ông cho thấy nhiều cuộc chiến tranh. Đế quốc Anh đã để mất 13 thuộc địa ở châu Mỹ sau hiệp ước Paris trong cuộc cách mạng Hoa Kỳ. Đối với các nhà yêu nước châu Mỹ, George III là một bạo chúa. Ông là một vị quân vương được dân Anh ngưỡng mộ.
