Pebble E-Paper Watch là một đồng hồ thông minh được phát triển bởi Pebble Technologies dựa trên tiền gây quỹ trên Kickstatrer. Sau khi được đầu tư mạo hiểm dưới tên inPulse, công ty không thể kiếm thêm tiền dưới tên mới[5] vì vậy công ty mới tổ chức gây quỹ cộng đồng vào tháng 4 năm 2012. Khi kết thúc gây quỹ, Pebble đã trở thành dự án kiếm được nhiều tiền gây quỹ nhất trên Kickstarter với việc gây quỹ được 10.266.844 đô la từ 68,928 người.[6][7] Ở thông cáo báo chí tại CES 2013 vào 9 tháng 1 năm 2013, CEO Eric Migicovsky thông báo rằng chiếc Pebble đầu tiên sẽ xuất xưởng vào ngày 23 tháng 1 năm 2013[8] với 15.000 chiếc đồng hồ được sản xuất hằng tuần.

Pebble được thiết kế dựa trên ý tưởng về Eric Migicovsky về một đồng hồ có thể hiện thị các tin nhắn từ điện thoại. Migicovsky đã thành công trong việc đưa ý tưởng của mình cho chương trình ươm mầm kinh doanh của Y Combinator. Khác với các dự án khác, việc kinh doanh của Migicovsky lại tạo ra lợi nhuận[5] Migicovsky đã thu thập được 375.000 đô la từ các nhà đầu tư nhưng lại không thể xin thêm được.[5] Nói về việc này, Migicovsky nói với Los Angeles Times:

I wasn't extremely surprised... Hardware is much harder to raise money for. We were hoping we could convince some people to our vision, but it didn't work out."[9]

Pebble Technology announced that an open Pebble SDK would be released before shipment of the watches began. There has been no public release of the SDK and the company has not announced their future plans.[12] [13]

The battery was reported in April 2012 to last seven days.[15] Based on feedback from Kickstarter backers, the developers have added water-resistance to the list of features.[16] The watch will be charged using a modified USB-cable that attaches magnetically to the watch so as not to compromise water resistance.[8]

The Pebble will come with apps pre-installed, including a cycling app to measure speed, distance and pace through GPS, and a golf rangefinder app that supports more than 25,000 courses. These apps use data received from the connected phone for distance, speed and range information. More apps will be downloadable from the phone, and an SDK will be freely available.[17] Not all apps will be installed when the watch ships but CEO Eric Migicovsky announced on January 9, 2013 that there will be updates for the watch's OS (which is based on FreeRTOS) every 2–3 weeks until all features are added.[8]

Pebble will integrate with the web service IFTTT which will allow users to create rules for event that will send notifications to the watch.
