English: This beautiful tree is endemic to Lord Howe Island where it occurs in moist forest in the southern part of the island. This herbarium specimen was collected in 1969, details as follows: "Game 69/202 Small tree with leaves silvery beneath, and bark brown and fairly smooth. Old inflorescences in axils of leaves. Growing out of rock in a shady position in a slight clearing in forest, near the base of the highest waterfall in Dinner Run [East side of Mt. Lidgbird], altitude about 750 feet". A duplicate is at Kew and is cited in the Flora of Australia, Vol. 49 p.70.
