| min = Earliest (minimum) year to be shown, e.g. 1753
| sortkey = Sort key for the parentcat (if omitted, uses the year of the category)
| parentyrcat = e.g. "Animals described in" – used to add an additional parent category whose name ends in the year, e.g. when this template is used on "Thể loại:Fish described in 1825", "parentyrcat = Animals described in" adds the category "Animals described in 1825"
