Cá bảo liên đăng hay còn gọi là Tử quang tinh linh (Danh pháp khoa học: Notropis chrosomus) là một loài cá vây tia thuộc chi Notropis. Chúng có tên gọi là Tử quang tinh linh (chữ Hán: 紫光精灵; bính âm: Zǐguāng jīnglíng). Đây là một loài cá cảnh đẹp và hiếm.
Nguồn gốc[sửa | sửa mã nguồn]
Nguồn gốc của cá bảo liên đăng là ở hệ thống sông Mobile River, thường tìm thấy ở các con suối nhỏ gần sông ở khu vực Alabama, Coosa và Black Warrior. Hiện nay chúng cũng đã xuất hiện ở một số dòng sông ở Tennessee và trở nên cực kỳ phổ biến trong lĩnh vực bể thủy sinh hoặc hồ cá.
Đặc điểm[sửa | sửa mã nguồn]
Chúng có kích thước từ 5 – 8 cm. Toàn thân cá bảo liên đăng phủ một lớp nhũ đa sắc từ tím, hồng, vàng, cam, đỏ, … xen lẫn các dải bạc, đen. Nền của vây màu đỏ. Cá đực khi trưởng thành đổi màu liên tục và trở nên cực kỳ rực rỡ. Các vây có thể chuyển sang màu xanh, đầu chuyển sang màu tím và mũi chuyển sang màu đỏ, chúng có thể đầu chuyển sang màu neon và mũi sang màu nâu. Cá sinh sản từ tháng năm cho đến tháng bảy hàng năm. Chúng ăn lá, trùn chỉ và có tuổi thọ từ khoảng 2 – 5 năm.
