Hallelu Chocolate

Back in 2016, our Founder Nguyen Hong Huy dropped out his international & fast growing career in the mechanical and automotive Industry after a long travel to the province of Tien Giang (west side of Vietnam). In this dusty but fateful journey on his motorbike, he noticed a landscape full of Cocoa trees which reminded him about his French friends who related him about the provenance of Chocolate to Vietnam in the 19th century by the French. Curious by nature, Huy approached the farmers and asked them about their life surrounding the Cocoa Bean and how they made a living. He understood that many difficulties the farmers were experiencing such as : more and more Cocoa cooperatives were closed down, unfairness in trading and on top of all, none of them understood the great potential yet of the Cocoa bean and none of them had the chance yet to taste the magical sweet and bitter taste of “a Chocolate Bar”.

Ideas were storming in Huy’s head, the perfume of the Cocoa bean mixed with the opportunistic fate of the farmers brought to Huy this meaningful question: “Why don’t we make our own Vietnamese Chocolate ?”. I decided to built the first 6 types chocolate machines in Vietnam to made his own artisan chocolate.

To reach our chocolate goal, Happiness Leads to Luckiness aka Hallelu Chocolate will tribute our full dedication and passion to make the best chocolate out of the Vietnamese Cocoa bean and will honor our farmers’ work.
