Ellipsoid quy chiếu

Trong trắc địa, một ellipsoid quy chiếu là một bề mặt toán học tương đương với bề mặt geoid của trái đất hoặc các thiên thể hành tinh khác. Do hình dạng tương đối đơn giản của chúng, các ellipsoid quy chiếu được sử dụng làm bề mặt tham chiếu trong việc tính toán mạng lưới trắc địa và các điểm toạ độ như kinh độ, vĩ độ và cao độ.
