'''Pokhara''' (पोखरा) là một thành phố có 200.000 dân ở miền trung [[Nepal]], tọa độ 28.24 độ vĩ bắc, 83.99 độ kinh đông, cách thủ đô [[Kathmandu]] 198&nbsp;km về phía tây. Đây là nơi đóng trụ sở của [[quận Kaski]], [[vùng Gandaki]] và Khu vực phát triển phía tây. Thành phố này cũng là một trong các điểm đến du lịch nổi tiếng của Nepal.

Pokhara nằm ở góc tây bắc của thung lũng Pokhara, về phía đông của Pokhara là [[Lekhnath]], một thị xã khác trong thung lũng.

Không ở nơi đâu núi lại nhô cao đột ngột như ở đây với trong vòng 30&nbsp;km, độ cao của núi vươn từ 1000 m lên 8000 m. Các dãy núi Dhaulagiri, Annapurna và Manaslu, mỗi ngọn có đỉnh cao trên 8000 m có thể nhìn thấy từ Pokhara. Ở khu vực này có một hồ Phewa, 3 hang động (Mahendra, Bat và Gupteswor) và các thác nước (Patale Chhango hay thác Devi) nơi nước đổ từ hồ Phewa vào một lỗ sâu và mất hút. Do địa hình như thế nên Pokhara có lượng mưa cao, 4000&nbsp;mm/năm. Nhiệt độ trung bình mùa Hè là 25 - 35&nbsp;°C, mùa Đông là 5 - 15&nbsp;°C.

Hồ Phewa ở Pokhara

Pokhara (tiếng Nepal: पोखरा) là một thành phố trung ương của Nepal. Đây là thành phố đông dân thứ nhì của Nepal sau thủ đô Kathmandu[1] từ khi Pokhara cũ và Lekhnath được gộp lại tạo nên thành phố trung ương Pokhara tháng 5, 2017.[1] Đây là tỉnh lỵ tỉnh Gandaki Pradesh và trung tâm của huyện Kaski.[2] Pokhara cách thủ đô Kathmandu 200 kilômét (120 dặm) về phía tây. Độ cao thành phố biến thiên từ 827 mét (2.713 foot) ở mặt nam đến 1.740 mét (5.710 foot) ở mạn bắc.[3] Dãy Annapurna, với 3 trong số 10 núi cao nhất — Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I và Manaslu — nằm cách thành phố chỉ 15–35 mi (24–56 km).[4][5]

Pokhara được coi là thủ phủ du lịch Nepal,[6] là nơi dừng chân cho những người đi tuyến Annapurna Circuit qua khu bảo tồn Annapurna[7] lên dãy Annapurna. Đây cũng là nơi có một số lớn lính Gurkha tinh nhuệ.[8]
