Xenoturbellida là một phân ngành trong ngành Xenacoelomorpha. Nó chứa một số lượng nhỏ các loài giống giun đáy biển.[3]

Loài đầu tiên được biết đến là Xenoturbella bocki được phát hiện vào năm 1915 bởi Sixten Bock, nhưng nó chỉ được miêu tả chính xác vào năm 1949 bởi Einar Westblad.[4]
